Alec Baldwin

Bio:
Alec Baldwin (born Alexander Rae Baldwin III on April 3, 1958 in Amityville, New York) is an American actor, producer and comedian. Alec was raised in Massapequa. He attended George Washington University and transferred to NYU’s Tish School of the Arts. He left school to pursue acting, appearing in the soap opera The Doctors from 1980 to 1982. His breakout came with his role in Knots Landing from 1984-85. In 1987, Alec made his film debut in 1987’s Forever, Lulu. The next year, he had roles in Beetlejuice and Working Girl, but received recognition as a leading man in 1990’s The Hunt For Red October. His additional film roles include Prelude to a Kiss, The Getaway, The Aviator and The Departed. Alec also has a memorable and often quoted scene in 1992’s Glengarry Glen Ross. He was nominated for an Academy Award and Golden Globe for his role in 2003’s The Cooler. Alec’s most noted success came from portraying Jack Donaghy in Tina Fey’s NBC sitcom, 30 Rock. Alec won two Emmys, two Golden Globes and seven Screen Actor Guild Awards for that role.

Personal Life:  
Alec is the oldest of the four Baldwin brothers – Daniel Baldwin, Billy Baldwin and Stephen Baldwin. He married Kim Basinger in 1993, having worked together on 1990’s The Marrying Man. They have one daughter together, Ireland. They divorced in 2002. Alec began dating Hilaria Thomas in 2011. They married in 2012. They welcomed their first child, Carmen, in 2013. Their second child, Rafael Thomas, was born in June 2015. Alec is highly active in humanitarian efforts, serving on the board for People for the American Way and involved in many animal rights efforts.
