Alanna Masterson (born June 27, 1988 in Long Island, New York) is an American actress. Alanna and her family relocated to Los Angeles when she was younger. Both her parents were active in Church of Scientology, raising Alanna and her four siblings in the Church’s teachings. Her father was excommunicated in 2005, causing her to sever ties with him. By then, Alanna had followed her brothers into show business. Her first major role was in 2006, appearing in an episode of Malcolm In The Middle. Alanna would appear in television shows like in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles and Grey’s Anatomy until she landed her biggest role in 2013. That year, she was cast as Tara Chambler in The Walking Dead. Though she was a guest character on the fourth season, she was promoted to series regular in the fifth season.

She had three half-brothers: Christopher Masterson, known as Francis on Malcom In The Middle; Danny Masterson, known as Hyde from That ‘70s Show; and Will Masterson. In 2015, she gave birth to her daughter Marlowe. The father is Brick Stowell.
