When the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion kicked off on Oct. 13, Erika Jayne faced viewers’ hard-hitting questions head-on as she revealed surprising facts about her life. For example, after she said she made sure that she looked “hot” and “single” for the reunion, host Andy Cohen asked about her love life and whether she’s been dating since her split with Tom Girardi.
“I’m trying [to date],” she admitted before asking Andy for some “help”. And then when he asked her what kind of guy she’s looking for, she said, “something with a big penis.” Yes, really.
“Really? Okay…,” Andy replied, before Erika unashamedly added, “I would like some hot sex.” Kyle Richards jokingly said that Erika’s likely going to have “a lot of takers” after that comment, and Erika welcomed it. She said her DMs are very “open”.
At the top of the hour, Erika said, “I’m looking forward to closing this chapter and moving on,” as Andy noted that her situation is “still unfolding as we speak.” Erika said that because of the ongoing legal proceedings, there would be “some things” she couldn’t talk about. However, she promised to “do my best to give every part of the story that I can.”
As fans should know, all season long, Erika’s co-stars have questioned how much she knew about Tom’s allegedly shady business practices. He’s currently being accused of stealing from cancer patients, a burn victim and the families of plane crash victims. It’s also alleged that Tom put $25 million from his firm into EJ Global LLC, which is a company “set up for Jayne’s performing career.”
“This is the toughest part of my life. I ask for patience with the ladies. And got some, and some I didn’t,” Erika said during the reunion. “I ask for an understanding that these things are complicated … and I do not have all the answers.”
When Andy asked Erika what the biggest misconception was about her, she said, “There’s a lot of talk about me being cold and not having empathy and sympathy. The truth is I do, but I’m in an almost impossible situation. Anyone that has been wronged, I want them to be made whole” — and by “them”, she means “the alleged victims of Tom’s alleged misdoings”.
Erika said this season was “really, really hard” to watch, and she felt “disappointment, anger, sadness” while watching her co-stars react to her situation on the show. She also admitted that her lawyers told her to quit the show, but she refused.
“I said no, because I have nothing to hide,” she claimed. “They said, well you know this s— can be flipped around on you. Everything can be parsed, twisted, turned and, yes, possibly used against you. Whether it is true or not, it almost doesn’t even matter at this point.” She did think about walking away from the show, but “I’m not a quitter,” she said, “and I wanted to honor my commitment. I wasn’t going to run away from what’s coming at me.”
Later, when Andy asked Erika how she felt about viewers calling for her firing, she said, “Why should I be fired? Why are you presuming that I’ve done something? Why aren’t we letting the legal process play out? You’ve heard one side and a lot of bulls— on that side. Give me a chance to defend myself. Watch me. I’m ready for the challenge, watch me do it.”
Then, in the final few minutes of this week’s episode, Andy started questioning Erika on the end of her marriage. He asked her why she hadn’t left Tom after first finding out he was cheating on her. And Erika said, “The cheating was [just] a part of it. There’s so much more there, and I’ve said to Tom, ‘If you are in love with someone else, divorce me, and go be with her,'” and she claimed he said “nothing” in return.
Finally, when Andy asked Erika whether she remained “faithful to him“, the episode ended before she could answer. We had a feeling it’d take a bit to get to the drama surrounding Erika, but it looks like we’ll start getting the real dirt next week.
