UPDATE, 1/7/21, 8:30pm ET: After Donald Trump conceded the U.S. presidential election through a statement, he did so again in a video posted to his Twitter account. “A new administration will be inaugurated on January 20th. My focus now turns to ensuring a smooth, orderly and seamless transition of power. This moment calls for healing and reconciliation,” Trump said before a podium. He also condemned his supporters who broke into the U.S. Capitol building a day prior, saying that they will “pay.” You can watch the full video below:

ORIGINAL: After two months of refusal and calls for protest, President Donald Trump is finally conceding to President-elect Joe Biden… kind of. After hours of violent riots by Trump supporters at the US Capitol, causing political leaders (including VP Mike Pence) to evacuate and shelter in safety, Biden’s election win was certified by a joint session of Congress. Shortly thereafter, Trump said in a statement that “there will be a peaceful transfer of power on January 20.” But that’s not enough. Not even close.

Celebrities like Alyssa Milano, T.I., and more called for everything from Trump’s impeachment, to action against the senators who refused to certify Biden, to Trump’s immediate removal from office via the 25th Amendment. Alyssa first tweeted at Vice President Pence, who was in the Capitol building during the riots. “.@VP We are asking you to do your duty and invoke the 25th Amendment. #RemoveTrumpNow,” she wrote. She followed it up with a graphic that read, “He Must Go. Resign. 25th Amendment. Impeach & Remove Now.” She added the hashtag “#RemoveTrumpNow.”

T.I. quote tweeted Twitter’s announcement that they were suspending Trump account for “repeated and severe violations of our Civic Integrity policy.” He simply added, “Remove him.” Rosanna Arquette shared a petition to remove Trump from office and quoted former President Barack Obama‘s national security official, Ben Rhodes: “If you don’t impeach and remove a President for staging a coup, what’s the point of impeachment?”

Mark Ruffalo shared Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg‘s announcement that they would be suspending Trump’s account from the social media platform following the riots. What he never acknowledged was that the rioters used Facebook to organize their demonstration. The Avengers star commented, “After losing the election and spurring on yesterday’s coup attempt, it looks like Mark Zuckerberg is finally starting to get it. Trump is a danger to America. #RemoveTrumpNow.”

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) called for the 25th Amendment on Twitter: “If the 25th amendment is not invoked today, Congress must reconvene immediately for impeachment and removal proceedings.” Kerry Washington tweeted the hashtag #RemoveTrumpNow and shared a helpful self-care guide for those scared and overwhelmed by the riots. She also reminded people not to forget about the major wins in Georgia on January 6 — the Democrats now control the House and the Senate.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna also chimed in on Instagram. Lisa shared a gif set of herself doing a talking head on the Bravo show, altering it to say, “Trump doesn’t wanna talk about the 25th Amendment. You better believe I’m gonna talk about the 25th Amendment.”
