Baby on the way! Emma Stone, 32, is reportedly pregnant and expecting her first child with comedian Dave McCary, 35, per a report from Us Weekly. “She seems very happy and very excited about becoming a mother — she’s constantly oohing and cooing,” a source told the outlet on Jan. 4.
“She looks great, she looks healthy, she’s glowing,” the insider added. “She’s been keeping up with friends and work lately, she’s always staying active and gets her daily exercise in.” HollywoodLife has reached out to Emma’s rep for comment. The report arrived on the very same day photos revealing Emma’s alleged baby bump surfaced, which showed the actress cradling her stomach while on a walk with a friend in Los Angeles on Dec. 30, 2020.
It’s been such an exciting time for Emma and Dave over the course of the last year. Dave made the announcement that he and the Easy A star got engaged in December 2019. The Saturday Night Live writer, 35, posted the sweetest photo featuring the couple beaming in a selfie. A fresh-faced Emma put her left hand front and center and showed off her stunning, sparkling ring. Without any other details, Dave simply captioned the pic with floating heart emojis.
Leading up to the pregnancy news, there’s been much speculation that Emma and Dave had tied the knot in secret. On September 11, the couple was spotted wearing matching rings while on a walk together in Los Angeles. Two weeks later, Page Six was first to report that they tied the knot in private. Unfortunately, there were no other details provided. The news came after Emma and Dave postponed their initially scheduled March nuptials due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
When it comes to parenthood, Emma has definitely had a major reset. Speaking with her BFF Jennifer Lawrence, Emma opened up about how she feels about kids in the September 2018 issue of Elle. “My perspective about kids has changed as I’ve gotten older,” Emma shared with Jen. “I never babysat or anything. As a teenager, I was like, I’m never getting married, I’m never having kids. And then I got older and I was like, I really want to get married, I really want to have kids,” she confessed.Since that interview took place, not only has Emma attended Jen’s own wedding, she has gotten engaged, and is ready to welcome her own little one. Upon reflection, Emma accounted for the transformation she noticed occurring within herself as she entered a new decade of her life and turned 30. “My twenties were a really interesting time, and there’s been a lot that has happened in these past 10 years, both positive and not as positive,” she told Jen in the aforementioned interview.
“It’s weird how much turning 30 crystallizes your life. Instead of just living the dreams that I had in my youth and getting to do the job that I love to do and making friends and going through all of that, it’s like, ‘Now what do I actively want as an adult?'” Well, it seems that Emma has answered that question for herself! We cannot wait to see the accomplished actress embrace this next chapter of her life!
