Dionne Warwick totally dropped the mic with this amazing response to people on Twitter questioning whether or not she was behind her latest posts about music artists. The legendary singer, 79, took to the social media platform on December 7, writing, “Came here to find foolishness in my replies. I am rushing [SIC] into an interview and this is the last time I’m saying this. Thanks.” What followed was an epic clip of Ms. Warwick putting the haters in their place and setting the record straight.
“Well, hello,” Dionne began, greeting her nearly 130K Twitter followers. “This is for all of you tweeters, who have decided that I’m not tweeting my own stuff to you. I want you to know I am,” she said proudly. “And I’m getting very, very, very good at it!” The “That’s What Friends Are For” songstress then credited her niece for getting her on Twitter.

“She said, ‘Aunt Dionne, you’ll have a lot of fun if you get on this with me.’ I said, ‘Ok, teach me how to do it!’ And she did and I am doing it.” Finally, Dionne finished her message by saying, “that should quell some of you neigh-sayers.” Like a true legend, though, Dionne knew that there would be some people who might not believe her, and for them she had three words: “deal with it.”
Of course I know you. You’re THE rapper. Let’s rap together. I’ll message you. 🤷🏽♀️ https://t.co/7ku9SMNUMB

The Grammy-winning singer’s epic video comes in the days after the singer, who joined Twitter in October 2012, started tagging music artists and asking them questions on Twitter. “Hi, [Chance The Rapper],” she tweeted on December 5. “If you are very obviously a rapper why did you put it in your stage name? I cannot stop thinking about this.”
The Weeknd is next. Why? It’s not even spelled correctly? @theweeknd

As it would happen, Chance responded! “Sorry, I’m still freaking out that you know who I am this is amazing,” Chance tweeted back. After telling Chance that she wanted to “rap together” with Chance, her next target was none other than The Weeknd. “The Weeknd is next. Why? It’s not spelled correctly,” the singer tweeted the same day. “If you have ‘The’ in your name i’m coming for you. I need answers today.”

Fans were all about Ms. Warwick’s tweets. And she even had a sweet interaction with the folklore maven herself, Taylor Swift. “I just saw that you tweeted me!! I’m a huge fan and I respect you so much, thank you for wishing me well. I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, thank you for spreading joy,” Taylor said on December 6, after seeing that Dionne had wished her “a wonderful day.” For her part, Dionne showed Taylor even more love! “Happy holidays, baby. Continue uplifting others with your wonderful spirit.”
Although she’s seemingly become more active on the social media platform in recent years, Dionne Warwick has yet to lose her fun-loving touch and quick wit! These tweets are what 2020 needs, right now. We cannot wait to see what the incredible singer shares next!
