Kanye West, 39, is still reeling over the death of his mother Donda, as a source tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively, and it has contributed to his unstable condition. “Kanye thinks his mother was murdered, and that’s where the massive paranoia stems from,” the insider reveals, referring to the “extreme paranoia” that Kanye has been exhibiting as he reportedly fights the doctors trying to take care of him. So heartbreaking!

“It was a massive emotional blow to Kanye and rocked him to the core,” the source adds. “He’s never been the same since her death.” As you may recall, Kanye’s mother died at the age of 58 from complications during cosmetic surgery involving abdominoplasty and breast reduction in November 2007, and many reports have hinted at malpractice surrounding her death. Kanye has said that he blames himself for her passing, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this is one of the main reasons he landed in the hospital.

It’s not a secret that Ye was close to his mother, and he named his creative content company DONDA after her in 2012. He also founded the Kanye West Foundation in 2003 with his mother, and later rechristened it as The Dr. Donda West Foundation in 2008. As a result, Kanye honors his mother through all of his philanthropy, but he was indubitably changed by her passing, as one would expect. We hope he recovers and is discharged soon!
