Alfred started off the special day by having Sherell‘s daughter grab her and bring her into a room where her man and their loved ones were all waiting for her. After proclaiming his love in a sweet proposal, Alfred tells Sherell that the rest of the day is “a day of servitude,” meaning she had to do everything he said from that point forward that day. Boy, did Sherell not have a clue what she was in for…
Next thing Sherell knew, she directed to a hotel room where some of her closest friends were waiting for her. They celebrated her engagement while Sherell had her hair and makeup done for the next step of the “day of servitude.” Who knows what was running through her mind at that point, but certainly she wasn’t expecting to be married in a few hours!

Sherell was blindfolded as she made her way to the next place all dolled up, and as soon it was taken off, she realized what was happening. Alfred had gathered all of their family and friends for a special ceremony in National Harbor, Maryland, and she was about to become Mrs. Duncan just hours after getting engaged! She was a bit overwhelmed with emotion, but once Sherell made it to Alfred, the love was absolutely booming.
“I’m so happy that you love me this way. I’m so happy that you chose to do this with me,” she told him through happy tears. “I love you with my whole heart, baby. I can’t imagine what life would be without you.”
Seriously, can you imagine a more romantic wedding?! Naturally, their incredible story quickly took social media by storm, even starting a trend with the hashtag #ForeverDuncan. Alfred and Sherell, who have been together since 2013, took to Instagram to thank everyone for helping out with Alfred’s big surprise. Aren’t they just the cutest?!

While the newlyweds were clearly happy to have their love story seen around the world, Alfred explained that his only hope for the day was to express his devotion to Sherell. “I wanted to amaze her by displaying my love to her in front of all of our friends and family,” he wrote in another Instagram post. “I had no idea this would happen. That wasn’t my intentions. My ONLY intention was to please her beyond belief.”
No matter how much attention the Duncans received for their surprise wedding, there is no denying that Alfred and Sherell are in love and destined for a happily ever after. Congrats to the happy couple!
