WARNING: Spoilers ahead! If you have not watched the first episode of the Fear The Walking Dead season two finale and you do not want to be spoiled, please stop reading immediately. However if you are ready to find out which one of our survivors was killed off, continue at your own risk!
Chris Manawa (Lorenzo Henrie) was killed off in the first half of the Fear The Walking Dead season two finale. We don’t find out his fate until the every end of the episode, when Chris’ father, Travis Manawa (Cliff Curtis), finds that Brandon (Kelly Blatz) and Derek (Kenny Wormald) are inside the same resort as him.
In order to get the truth out of Brandon and Derek, Travis brings them to a shop just outside of the resort. With Madison (Kim Dickens), Hector (Ramses Jimenez), Andres (Raul Casso) and Oscar (Andres Londono) watching from behind, Brandon tells Travis that Chris was driving their truck when he dozed off and caused an accident. Flashbacks show us Chris falling asleep behind the wheel and swerving off the road, with the pickup truck rolling over multiple times before finally coming to a stop.
First Brandon tells Travis that Chris was thrown through the windshield during the accident, but Derek contradicts that statement a moment later by saying that they pulled him out. Travis catches the mistake instantly and locks himself in the shop with the boys, despite Madison’s desperate pleas to “let it go.” Travis immediately starts lashing out at the boys, head-butting Brandon so that he falls to the floor and wailing on Derek until they agree to tell him the truth.
In one last flashback we watch as Chris wakes up behind the wheel of the truck, still alive, and drags himself through the drivers side window. His leg is broken so badly we can see the bone, but other than that he actually seems okay. Unfortunately, that’s not enough for Brandon and Derek so we are forced to watch as Brandon uses a shotgun and shoots Chris in the head. The last time we see Chris, his 16-year-old body is laying in a pool of his own blood in the middle of a dirt road.
