So as soon as news broke that Angelina had filed for divorce from Brad, 52, on Sept. 19, Gwen was reportedly one of the first people to offer her support for Angie during such a difficult time. Gwen is no stranger to divorce, as her split from Gavin, 48, was one of the most public celebrity breakups of 2015. And considering she has already found love again, surely Gwen had some pretty awesome advice for Angelina amidst her heartbreak. Angelina is even coincidentally using the same divorce lawyer that Gwen did, Laura Wasser, according to Daily Mail, so Gwen and Angie relate to each other in many ways — which has to be a huge help for Angelina!
Plus, Gwen’s divorce was caused by cheating on Gavin’s part, which was rumored to be part of the reason that Angelina is leaving Brad. Although Brad’s alleged “other woman,” his Allied co-star Marion Cotillard, has released a statement declaring that she did not cheat with Brad, Gwen still has plenty of insight to offer her good friend.
Another reported reason for Angelina divorcing Brad was his “methods” of parenting, and a new report said that he’s even being investigated for child abuse. Considering Gwen and Angelina have had several play dates with their kids over the years, Gwen likely has a pretty good relationship with Brangelina’s kids. So if Angelina needs someone to back her up, Gwen will surely be right there for her!
