1. She’ll be wearing “child-sized” clothes for most of Jumanji.
When The Rock — who plays Dr. Smolder Bravestone in the film — shared a first-look picture from the movie, people couldn’t help noticing how scantily clad Ruby was. After seeing some of the comments regarding her skimpy outfit, Karen took to social media to set the record straight. “Yes I’m wearing child sized clothes and YES there is a reason! The pay off is worth it, I promise!” she tweeted. A pay off for a girl wearing children’s clothing…hmm…
2. She’s acted alongside some of the hunkiest men in Hollywood.
As if having someone as attractive as The Rock for a co-star isn’t amazing enough, Karen has already been fortunate enough to work with hotties like Chris Pratt (Guardians Of The Galaxy), Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt (The Big Short), and Matt Smith (Doctor Who). Oh, and Nick Jonas is also going to be in Jumanji! Lucky girl, huh?
3. She’ll do just about anything to get into character for a role.
Karen’s Guardians Of The Galaxy character, alien super villain Nebula, was going to require her to wear a bald cap. But instead of putting on a bald cap when getting into work every day, Karen just decided to completely shave her head. No wonder she was so willing to put on children’s clothes for Jumanji!
4. She doesn’t just act!
In addition to her awesome acting roles, Karen has also wrote and directed a couple of short films in hopes of doing more in the future. She also did some modeling before landing her first major acting gig!
5. She has the “most important role” in Jumanji.
When The Rock excitedly announced Karen’s casting on Instagram in August, he complimented her on her “chutzpah, guts, nerve and talent to stand her ground” against the male-dominant Jumanji cast. But on top of that, he declared that her role of Ruby is the most important one of the whole movie! We don’t know much more for now, but we’re certainly excited to find out more!
