1. “Becky” was first brought up in the song “Sorry.”
Beyonce’s new song “Sorry” made a big statement. “Middle fingers up, put them hands high,” Beyoncé sings. “Wave it in his face, tell him, boy, bye. Tell him, boy, bye, middle fingers up. I ain’t thinking ‘bout you.” The song ends with this: “He better call Becky with the good hair.”
“Becky with the good hair” immediately went viral. Whenever someone hears that name again, they’ll never look at that person the same way again after listening to “Sorry.”
2. She’s got good hair, apparently.
Beyonce doesn’t do anything without a reason. So when Beyonce first brought up “Becky,” she said the girl’s got “good hair.” For the people out there investigating, this is a big clue.
3. “Becky” is the girl that Jay Z may have allegedly cheated on Beyonce with.
Beyonce’s entire Lemonade album appears to be about Beyonce calling out Jay Z for allegedly being unfaithful. She sings a ton of shocking lyrics about somebody cheating, and it could very well be Jay Z. Beyonce blatantly sings in one song, “If you try this sh*t again you gon’ lose your wife.” The only instance when Beyonce referred to this alleged other woman is when she drops the “Becky with the good hair” line.
4. Fans think “Becky” is fashion designer Rachel Roy.
Beyonce’s fans immediately took to the internet to try and discover the identity of “Becky.” The Beyhive believes that fashion designer Rachel Roy could be “Becky” because of her past with Beyonce and Jay Z.
Bey’s sister Solange infamously attacked Jay Z in an elevator after the Met Ball in 2014. HollywoodLife.com learned EXCLUSIVELY that Solange was defending Bey because she thought Jay was too “close” to Rachel.
Rachel appeared to taunt Beyonce with her April 24 Instagram photo where she talks about her “good hair.” Beyonce’s fans went to town on social media and attacked her for posting the photo.
5. “Becky” could be made up…
After all, this is just an album. Beyonce has never publicly spoken out about the Jay Z cheating allegations. She could have just brought up “Becky” to get people talking.
