Looking good, John! He was strutting his slimmed-down stuff at the Trumbo film premiere in London on Oct. 8, reports the Daily Mail. Though he stood next to his co-stars, Helen Mirren and Bryan Cranston, John was capturing the spotlight thanks to his dramatic weight loss!

Surprisingly, John lost all the weight in over a year, as he was reportedly looking “heavy” at the Nov. 2014 premiere for his film, The Gambler. In twelve months, John has worked hard to look the slimmest he’s ever been!

John has always been known as a “big guy,” ever since he was cast as Roseanne Barr‘s husband, Dan Conner, on her hit television series, Roseanne. John earned a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 1993 for his role on the show. His success continued on the silver screen, as he became legendary for his roles in Raising ArizonaArgo, and for voicing Sulley in Pixar’s Monsters Inc. and Monsters University.

John said he once was “pushing 400,” and that staying in shape was one of the hardest challenges in his life. “I’m not going to look like Paris Hilton or anything like that,” John reportedly told David Letterman in 2010. “It’s going to be an ongoing process for the rest of my life.” Well, keep it up, John. You look great!
