These lyrics couldn’t be more of an ode to Zedd and Selena’s own romance! Their “worlds collided” when they met by happenstance in the studio, and then decided to record the song “I Want You To Know” together.

Then, their friendship turned romantic, but with their busy schedules, it was difficult to maintain. In fact, they seemed to never get to that super serious point in the relationship, as if they knew it wouldn’t “be forever,” just like Zedd’s new song says.
We were so sad to see things didn’t work out between Selena and Zedd, but we’re glad he still has fond memories of their beautiful romance!
