Tamera & Tia Mowry’s Secret Language: They Can Read Each Other’s Minds
“We have a secret language!” Tia admitted. “It’s not verbal. It’s just an aura, a vibe, a feeling. If she’s in this room right now, I wouldn’t have to tell her how I feel or vice versa. I’ll know right away what she’s thinking and feeling and wants to do. It’s just something that happens.”
How cool is that?! Tia also added that she and her sis have such a deep connection, that they both knew the other was pregnant before they told each other! “It’s just a feeling that you have. It’s deep and weird, but it’s true,” she confirmed.
Tia & Tamera Mowry’s Competitive Sibling Relationship
Tia, Tamera and their brother, Tahj, all grew up in showbiz, but have remained grounded about it since day one. However, there’s nothing wrong with a little friendly competition!
“When you’re in this business, there are hundreds of thousands of people competing for your spot,” Tia explained. “If I get that spot or Tamera gets that spot or Tahj gets that spot, it’s freaking unbelievable, and we’re rooting for each other. And if I’m in the spotlight, it helps Tamera, and if I’m in the spotlight, it helps me. I would be lying if I said there’s no competition — there’s healthy competition. We encourage one another. It’s more competitive as a twin! People see us at the same person, but we’re not.”
Luckily, Tia and Tamera have managed to take their careers in different directions, while still finding a way to work together professionally (i.e., they just released a book, Twintuition).
“It helps with longevity in this business when you do different things,” Tia told us.
