‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: Welcome To The Dollhouse

All the girls were in orange jumpsuits now, rocking their best Orange is the New Black look. Hanna (Ashley Benson), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Spencer (Troian Bellisario) and Aria (Lucy Hale) were all heading to the doghouse. They were being separated from Alison because the police thought the five of them were plotting something big. Hanna had lost hope and gave the girls real talk about what life was like on the inside.

No matter what, the girls vowed to stay strong. Suddenly, the car crashed, and the girls heard the driver get attacked. “A” opened the door and poisoned them with gas. WHAT?!?!?! SOMEONE CALL A MEDIC FOR ME.

‘Pretty Little Liars’: Which Liar Are You? — Quiz

Spencer woke up in her room, except it wasn’t her room. “A” had created an exact replica of all the girls’ rooms. Home sweet home, girls. NOT. Emily realized they were being watched by “A.” Creepy. Spencer tried to break the window, but there was only concrete on the outside.

The doors of their rooms opened after a voice welcomed them. The girls all walked outside. They realized they were in “A”‘s dollhouse, and they were the dolls. The girls were forced to follow a lighted pathway. They walked into a room where there was a girl dressed like Alison (Sasha Pieterse) with a mask over her face. But it wasn’t Alison. IT WAS MONA.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: Nothing Left To Lose

Toby (Keegan Allen) went to the Hastings house to tell them about Spencer. Apparently, the girls had been poisoned with a vaporized date rape drug. Spencer’s parents went straight to prison for a little visit with Alison. They pleaded with her to tell them where Spencer was. Alison had no clue where she was, but she knew who took them — “A.”

Mr. and Mrs. Hastings wondered why Alison was now telling the truth. “I’m going to spend the rest of my life in here,” she said. “I don’t have anything else to lose.”

‘Pretty Little Liars’: Mona’s Return Was The Best Twist Ever

Toby, Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) and Ezra (Ian Harding) all came together for the best three-person bromance ever. They needed to find the girls and fast. Ezra was so mad at this crazy turn of events that he punched a wall. Ezria lives on! The boys had to prove that “A” found a way to override the traffic cameras while the girls were being transferred. When Toby went to Tanner (Roma Maffia), she didn’t believe a word he said. She actually put an APB out on Caleb because she thought he took the girls.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: She’s Baaaaaaack

Mona (Janel Parrish) was back, and I officially lost it. What a twist! Mona pretended that she was Alison to an unbelievably crazy level. The girls were shocked to see Mona again. I mean, weren’t we all? Mona walked into another room that was definitely “A”‘s playroom. The game was Mystery Date. “A” had invited them to their senior prom. They were playing the game to find out who their prom dates would be.

After she saw a photo of Caleb, Hanna freaked. If Caleb got involved in the gAme and got hurt, there would be hell to pay. Suddenly, a blaring noise went off, and the girls were forced back into their rooms. The noise wouldn’t stop until they were.

Hanna woke up in her room, and Mona showed up. They had three minutes where they weren’t being watching by “A.” Up until now, Mona would run in each direction for 90 seconds at a time to try and find a way out. However, there was a catch. If you didn’t make it back to your room in time, “A” would leave you for days without food or water, blare the siren and more.

The girls were — again — shocked to their core, but this time because of Mona being Mona. She had to pretend to be Alison to survive. But Mona was a fighter. “I’m still here. I’m the one who’s winning the game!” she said. That’s my girl!

As Spencer slept that night, she picked up on something from the playroom. The ABC blocks spelled out something, and she just had to figure out what. Spencer being Spencer, she quickly discovered that they spelled “Charles.” The next morning, Mona was back to being Alison. “A” had given her a present — a gas mask. “Because you’re my favorite,” the note read. Shudders.

Spencer told the girls about the blocks spelling Charles while they were being taken to a mysterious new room. They were all on committees for the prom. It was a prom that had already happened. Specifically, the “Night at the Opera” prom was the last time Melissa took Ian.

‘Pretty Little Liars’ Recap: [SPOILER] Is ‘A’

Spencer’s parents found Toby and the boys. They knew about “A.” What they didn’t understand was why the holy trinity hadn’t gone to the police. Well, Tanner was a grade-A beeyotch and would twist their theory. Unfortunately, the police arrived to stop their little search and rescue party. Melissa called Mrs. Hastings, and Andrew was listening in!

After some heavy convincing, Tanner allowed Caleb to use the police system to track down anything about the girls. He found the van. YAHTZEE. The van was at the old Campbell farm. During the search, Toby discovered “A”‘s layer! Tanner finally got the reality check she deserved when she came across the videos of the girls being watched by “A.”

MY MIND WAS RUNNING IN EVERY DIRECTION AT THIS POINT.

Back at the dollhouse, Spencer skillfully devised a plan that could help them escape. All the tools she needed to decorate for prom could be used to create a device that would shut off the electricity. But the girls had more plans for “A.” Emily and Spencer started fighting just long enough for Mona to gather the tools she needed. When the device was finished, Mona handed it over to Aria.

When they all returned to their rooms, they found dresses waiting for them. They got all dolled up and headed to prom. They were greeted by mannequins dressed for the occasion. Except one — “A!” Basically, this scene became the subject of all my upcoming nightmares. I hate mannequins.

Mona arrived as Alison, who was announced as the prom queen. Did anyone else feel like a bucket of pig’s blood could have come down at any second? Spencer called out to Charles and said he should be crowned the prom king. They waited on pins and needles for him to show up. He stepped out from behind a mannequin, and Aria turned on the device.

They all ran. Go, girls, go! Spencer got separated and found a room with a video reel. She played it and watched a video of two twins boys having the time of their lives with their mom and newborn baby girl. Um, is that Jason’s twin? That’s what I’m thinking.

Spencer realized “A” had a soul.  He was thisclose to possibly revealing his face when Mona came busting in. The girls found a way outside, but “A” (or Charles) still had the one-up. Surrounding them was a fence that was charged with 10,000 volts. Yikes. And they were far, far away from any type of civilization.

HollywoodLifers, what did you think of the Pretty Little Liars finale? Were you shocked that Mona has been alive this WHOLE TIME? What did you think about the big “A” reveal? Let me know!
