‘Glee’ Jumping 5 Years Ahead For Series Finale: What We Hope To See

Jane Lynch just broke the news that 'Glee' will be heading five years in the future for the series finale -- so now I have serious expectations. It's never easy to say goodbye, but maybe the year 2020 will make it easier? Jane Lynch who plays evil Principal Sue, just revealed that Glee's final episodes will head back in time to 2009, then head forward to 2020. So, who will be together? Who will be coaching the glee club? Well, those answers aren't yet out there -- but here's what we're hoping for.

‘Glee’: 5 Year Jump In Series Finale — What We Need To See Happen

On Feb. 20, Lea Michele tweeted a photo of her “family,” and it included old and new faces. “Everybody came,” Jane told VH1’s Big Morning Buzz Live. “Everbody that was in the show who wanted to come was invited.”

She also added that they performed “I Lived,” which got me wondering what else they’d be performing, and what else would happen in the future. Here are my hopes and/or predictions — sure, some are just hopeful, but hey, anything can happen on Glee.

Sam & Mercedes Reunite
Come on. They both deserve to be happy and at the end of the day, they’re adorable together. So, five years down the road they can be married so that he can finally sleep with her. Sorry Samchel fans. No.

Rachel & Jesse St. James
We told you that Jesses St. James (Jonathan Groff) returns for the finale, and to be honest, he’s the only one that she can realistically end up with if she doesn’t just marry herself, Sue style. After Finn, there isn’t really a moving on point, but he’s someone who knows the real Rachel.

Will & Emma Have More Babies
This probably won’t be very off. They already have an adorable little one, and hopefully, we’ll see many many more. They’ve come along way, and clearly need to have, cute, talented and OCD-filled more kids. Oh, and their baby can be heading to kindergarten and already singing.

‘Don’t Stop Believing’
Yeah, I know they’ve performed it way. too. many. times. But if the show goes out on any other song, it will just be weird.

Shelby, Puck & Quinn Live Happily Every After
I know this is a long shot, but I would love to see Shelby (Idina Menzel) return, because well, she’s Rachel’s mom, and Puck (Mark Salling) and Quinn (Dianna Agron) visiting their daughter. The three of them can totally raise her together, right? Or Puck can run away with her, that would totally be okay too.
