‘The Vampire Diaries’: Stefan & Caroline Dating Would Be Everything
One way to consider Steroline would be the Pacey and Joey of TVD. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again and again. The bickering, the sexual tension, the build up, and yes, the fact that she’s not the main character. In Dawson’s Creek, the show circled around Dawson and Joey’s bond — but it was Pacey who got the girl.
So I know, just like the Dawson/Joey shippers, people think that Stefan should end up with Elena (Nina Dobrev) at the end — but I’m not so sure. Elena has a real bond with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Caroline and Stefan bring out the best in one another.
During Thanksgiving, he started to tell her something. We heard him say, “Listen,” but of course she cut him off. We have to prolong it — but it’s going to happen.
Stefan & Caroline Bring Out The Human In Each Other
When Steroline are together, they bring out the human in each other — the love, the compassion, the emotions. Stefan just admitted to her that she was the one he could go to and cry and break down. He was the only one who could help her when she turned into a vampire.
They already love each other, that’s evident. But let’s rewind to Caroline’s confession to him in the woods, when Elena overheard and finally found out that Caroline had feelings for him. “If even just a small part of you came back to check on me, then stay,” she said to him that night in the woods — and he walked away.
I’m not buying the whole “I missed it” thing — he knew how Caroline felt. He knew ever since they cuddled one night and woke up spooning. He’s just afraid to admit it just yet, because then he has to open himself up to those emotions again — something he hasn’t done since Elena.
Let’s just say, when two people are that attracted to each other, and have that kind of bond — that more-than-friends-but-still-best-friends thing — it’s undeniable. It’s endgame.
