Chris Brown — You Need To Get To The Bottom Of Your Anger Issues

Chris, you’re only 24 —  you still have a long and potentially happy life and very successful career ahead of you. It’s worth 90 days of your time for you to get to the bottom of the problems feeding your anger.

Listen, Chris — you had a terrible childhood. You grew up in a home where you were terrorized by your stepfather who was physically abusing your beloved mother, Joyce Hawkins. You were emotionally abused and were scarred by your frightening experiences as a child. And unfortunately, you have been dealing with your emotional baggage in the wrong way.

“The problem with Chris Brown is that he has never had sufficiently intense psychotherapy which starts from looking at his childhood,” explains Beverly Hills celebrity psychiatrist, Dr. Carole Lieberman. “Chris needs in-patient anger management treatment to lay the groundwork for intense out-patient psychotherapy several times a week, until he has developed insight into his outbursts of rage.”

Chris, you know you don’t want to keep living like this. You don’t want to hurt people you love, like Rihanna or your mother. You don’t want to keep being involved in incidents which are reported to the police. You don’t want to be the target of people sometimes making unfounded accusations against you. And you don’t want to be constantly mired in the California legal system. You want out of all that — anybody would.

But you can only free yourself from all these negative situations if you resolve your anger issues, and the only way to resolve those issues is to work hard with top professionals to get to the bottom of the childhood anger and pain that’s created those issues.

Chris Brown: Mandatory Anger Management Treatment Can Save Your Career

“I think the judge may have saved Chris Brown’s career, if not his life, by sentencing him to rehab,” believes Dr. Lieberman. Chris, you were lucky that the judge you faced was enlightened. He agreed with the LA Country Probation Department that treatment was better for you than jail time, even though the LA District Attorney wanted prison time.

“I think it’s fantastic that he’s going into three months of anger rehab, and he probably needs to be in there longer. His sanity and his career are on the line,” adds Dr. Jeff Gardere, Assistant Professor of Behavioral Medicine at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine. “Chris is angry at the world right now, because he’s coming to the realization that he has some real serious emotional disturbances that are affecting his life,” believes Dr. Gardere. “That’s why he’s acting out all over the place.”

Chris, you also need to be able to fight thoughts you might have that everyone wants you to fail and that you’re in a no-win situation. You’re not! You may have haters, but you also have millions of fans who still love you. You also have a supportive and loving girlfriend, Karrueche Tran, and a devoted mother.

Yes, you’re clearly very angry at your mom — you reportedly threw a rock at her car when you were in a voluntary rehab facility earlier in November, according to TMZ. But that’s another reason why you need excellent treatment.

“Chris is angry at his mother for putting up with the abuse from her former husband. She stayed with Chris’s abusive stepfather allowing Chris to witness it and to be terrorized by his stepfather. That’s why he’s angry with her,” believes Dr. Gilda Carle, the 30-Second Therapist from The Today Show.

So Chris, I know you are probably looking at your court-ordered anger management treatment as punishment, but please try and see it as a blessing. You can get the help you need to leave your unhappy childhood behind and truly become the loving, creative, in-control adult you want to be. A lot of people will be rooting for you.

Don’t you think that treatment is a great thing for Chris, HollywoodLifers? Let me know!
