What To Expect From The LYLAS Show – What Happened During The Party!

In this new docu-series, the sisters are faced with personal and professional obstacles such as the death of their mother and major rifts within their management team that they didn’t see coming as they prepare to launch their music career. And with the success of their first single “Come Back,” released in January, it gave the sisters the drive and determination to stay in the studio and finish their full-length album which is expected to be released later this year. In the premiere episode, The LYLAS arrive in Los Angeles and quickly get down to business joining forces with their management team who arrange a meeting with famed produced, Dallas Austin. And there was an awesome party for the show!

Speaking of the party celebrity guests enjoyed hors d’oeuvres by bread&wine and The LYLAS Coco Pina specialty cocktails, while enjoying music by DJ Michelle Pesce.  Upon arrival to her first red carpet public appearance since the announcement of her pregnancy, Kendra Wilkinson was absolutely glowing. She showed up ready to sport her baby bump and help celebrate with her new WE tv family, The LYLAS. Inside, Kendra caught up with her old friend and rapper Too $hort. The two talked about the new baby and family life and hung out in the VIP area for most of the night. Too $hort also made sure to stop by and congratulate the girls on their new show. Later in the evening, the DJ Michelle Pesce played The LYLAS hit single, ”Come Back,” and as it blasted from the speakers, the girls started the ultimate dance party on the dance floor. This was truly a star-studded event with guests including Paris Hilton, Ashlee Simpson and boyfriend Evan Ross joining the party at the end of the evening.

ABOUT THE LYLAS

Sisters Jaime, Tiara, Tahiti and Presley Hernandez known as The LYLAS (acronym for “love you like a sister”), are an American female singing group looking to make a lasting name for themselves in the music industry. Growing up in Honolulu, Hawaii, The LYLAS were surrounded by an overwhelming amount of support and musical influences. Their father, an avid Elvis Presley fan, had a show in Hawaii where their brother Peter Hernandez, known to most as superstar sensation Bruno Mars, often participated as an Elvis impersonator. While the passion for music always lived within the sisters, the idea of starting a group didn’t happen until about two years ago. The ladies were working with 4mamaearth(founded by Jaime), an organization that utilizes the power of art, music, and popular culture to make a change for the better locally and globally, on creating a song for orphanages in the Philippines.

They met up in the studio to record the bridge of the song and were quickly reminded of something that they probably knew their whole lives – they could sing. In January,The LYLAS released their first single, Come Back, and a video for the song soon followed. Come Back was extremely well received by the critics, giving the sisters the drive and determination to stay in the studio and finish their full length album which is expected to be released later this year. The LYLAS will take their foray into the world of television as their docu-series appropriately titled The LYLAS, is set to premiere on WE tv this November. The series will chronicle the sisters as they journey to Los Angeles to follow in their brother’s musical footsteps and strive to stay true to themselves and their Hawaiian roots. Cameras followed them as they lived and worked together on their debut album all while coping with the change in their dynamic relationship and individual lives.
