Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder Send Message To Sick ‘Vampire Diaries’ Fan

The 'Vampire Diaries' stars are taking time out of their busy schedules to visit a devoted fan in Toronto this weekend. Watch their special message from the show's Georgia set. Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder are teaming up to make one Vampire Diaries fan's wish come true. The duo filmed a special message for Kayla, a young Toronto girl in need of new lungs, and posted it online — with a surprise announcement at the very end.

Nina Dobrev & Ian Somerhalder’s Message For Kayla

“Hey, Kayla,” Nina begins, “I’m Nina, and we’ve never met. And this is…”

“I’m Ian, and we’ve never met,” Ian adds as he slides into the frame.

“We’re on The Vampire Diaries, and we know that you watch the show,” Nine says. “And we know about you, too! We’ve been following you. We just wanted to say hi.”

“You’re such a fighter,” Ian tells Kayla, to which Nina adds, “You really are. I think Elena would be jealous.”

“I think she would be,” he agrees. “I think she would be jealous.”

“Because as much fighting as we do on the show, Elena will never be as strong as you, or as courageous,” Nina says.

“So we just wanted to make sure that your schedule’s clear on Saturday, because we want to come see you [in Toronto]” Ian tells the camera. “Clear your schedule.”

“We’ll be there soon!”

Nina and Ian end the message with air kisses.
