Jodi Arias’ Bizarre Messages To Travis Alexander

Juan showed that after brutally shooting her boyfriend, Travis Alexander, in the face, stabbing him 27 times, and slitting his throat, Jodi left several cheery messages on his phone.

“It’s ok, sweetie, you’re going to be here in less than two weeks — we’re going to see the sights… Be happy!” read one of the emails sent three days after the altercation.

“I hope you’re still not upset that I didn’t come to see you,” says another message.

Juan also played a voicemail sent by Jodi hours after killing Travis that included an upbeat invitation to see Othello and ended, “Let me know. Talk to you soon. Bye.”

“Did you send it so he could reach you from the grave?” the prosecutor asked a bawling Jodi.

These messages reek of Jodi trying to cover her tracks and clear her name after the fact, though her efforts only dilute her defense. Why would she send messages suggesting she had no idea he was dead, and then later admit to killing her boyfriend but claiming self-defense?

Jodi Arias’ Murder Trial: The Drama Gets Amped Up

The Arizona courtroom was full of drama during the whole cross-examination as the prosecution continued to aggressively question Jodi and poke holes in her story.

While Jodi cried and struggled to hold herself together, Juan railed at her with these powerful questions: “Were you crying when you were shooting him? Were you crying when you were stabbing him? How about when you cut his throat, were you crying then? You’re the one who did this, right? And you’re the same individual who lied about all of this, right?”

Wow — intense. Though Jodi told Inside Edition before her trial, “No jury is going to convict me… because I am innocent and you can mark my words on that,” her confidence is surely wavering now.

What do you think, HollywoodLifers? Is Jodi guilty of first degree murder?
