Born Robert Rihmeek Williams in May 1987, the Philadelphia native and hip hop star is best known as Meek Mill. The rapper is beloved by fans for the singles ‘Whatever You Need,’ ‘Ima Boss’ and ‘All Eyes On You.’ Meek once had a high profile relationship with fellow hip hop star Nicki Minaj. They reportedly dated from 2015 until they called time on their romance in early 2017. That year marked another loss for Meek – his freedom, after a Philadelphia judge sentenced him to two to four years behind bars for allegedly breaking the terms of his probation. The ruling was connected to a 2008 case when he was slapped with an 11 to 23-month sentence after being found guilty of gun and drug possession charges. Meek was thrown into prison that November but was released in April 2018 after the Pennsylvania Supreme Court ruled that he be freed. More than a year later, in July 2019, the Pennsylvania Superior Court ordered that the original case be thrown out and a new trial granted because the prosecution’s sole witness was allegedly a dirty cop.
