Owen is also known for his association with Wes Anderson, having worked with the director on films like Bottle Rocket, Rushmore, The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, The Budapest Hotel, and The French Dispatch. Owen has also won over audiences in movies like Zoolander, Marley and Me, Wedding Crashers, and the Night at the Museum franchise.
In 2011, Owen and his then-girlfriend Jade Duell welcomed a son. He and Caroline Lindqvist welcomed a child together in 2014.
