Nelly & Ashanti: Photos of the Couple Throughout the Years

Ten years after their split, Nelly and Ashanti are back together and in honor of Ashanti’s birthday, relive their relationship in photos here.

Ashanti and Nelly started dating in 2003 when they met at a Grammys press conference at the beginning of 2003 and began dating. They were together for ten years before they split in 2013. Although they never publicly disclosed the reason for the split, Ashanti revealed in a 2015 interview that she had been “betrayed” by her ex.

After years of not seeing each other or speaking, Ashanti and Nelly unexpectedly reunited at a Verzuz battle in 2021. Although they hugged onstage, they did not catch up. However, the reunion seemingly sparked a future reconcilation. In Dec. 2022, they performed together at a winter concert. By February, Nelly confirmed that they were “friends” again. 

In April 2023, Nelly and Ashanti were seen holding hands at a boxing match in Las Vegas. Shortly afterward, it was reported that they were fully back together and giving their relationship another chance.
