Sarah Rose Summers, Miss Nebraska USA 2018, was crowned Miss USA and congratulated by fellow contestants at the conclusion of the two-hour event on FOX from George’s Pond at Hirsch Coliseum on May 21, 2018. The new winner moved to New York City where she lived during her reign and became a spokesperson for various causes alongside The Miss Universe Organization. Sarah was born on Nov. 4, 1994, which made her 23 years old at the time of the competition. Sarah grew up in Nebraska, and went to college in Texas. She attended Texas Christian University, studying child development and strategic communication, as well as business. Sarah beat out Caelynn Miller-Keyes, Miss North Carolina 2018, and Caelynn later went on to compete on “The Bachelor” for former football player Colton Underwood’s heart.
