Michelle Williams and Thomas Kail began dating some time in late 2019 after they met on the set of the FX show, Fosse/Verdon, in which they’re both executive producers on. Michelle stars in the show and Thomas also directed her in numerous episodes. He is a Tony-award winning director of Hamilton and In the Heights, and has a close working relationship with Lin-Manuel Miranda. Michelle and Thomas were first spotted out together in December 2019, making their relationship public for the first time. They were spotted together in London where Michelle was filming Venom 2 at the time. In late December 2019, the couple announced that they were engaged, and expecting their first child together later in 2020. Michelle has a 14-year-old daughter named Matilda from her relationship with the late Heath Ledger. Michelle was briefly married to indie musician Phil Elverum from summer 2018 to early 2019.
