Michelle Wie, born on October 11, 1989 in Honolulu, Hawaii, is an American pro golfer. She began playing golf at the age of four and went pro in 2005, just before her 16th birthday. Michelle attended Stanford University while playing pro golf and graduated in June 2012 with a major in communications. Michelle became became the youngest player to qualify for a USGA amateur championship, and was also the youngest winner of the U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links. Additionally, she was the youngest to qualify for an LPGA Tour event. Upon going pro, Michelle signed deals with Nike and Sony. As a Nike sponsored athlete, Michelle represents the brand and helps design shoes and apparel under her influence. Michelle won her first major at the 2014 U.S. Women’s Open. Her LPGA Tour victories includes five wins and one major. On August 10, 2019, Michelle married her longtime boyfriend, Jonnie West, the son of NBA legend, Jerry West. The two tied the knot in Beverly Hills, CA.
