The event celebrated it’s 39th year of sending fireworks into the night sky over Manhattan, via barges lined up and down the river. NBC yet again broadcast the event, which featured a mix of pop and patriotic anthems for the audience watching at home to enjoy.
The Macy’s 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular is the perfect event for all ages. For New Yorkers, they get to see the most amazing fireworks show in the nation right in their own backyard…or rooftop, or neighborhood park. The fireworks are shot up at a high enough altitude that they can be visible from so many locations throughout the city and it’s boroughs. All one has to do is find a place outside to look up and the sky and enjoy the show.
The fireworks spectacular is also the perfect way for folks at home to take in the show without having to leave their homes. Not only will it be far more impressive than any local town’s display, people won’t have to worry about traffic, finding parking and the like. Just sit back in a chair, turn in NBC and there’s America’s best fireworks show!
