Władziu Valentino Liberace, known mononymously as Liberace, was an American pianist, singer, and actor, known for his stirring showmanship and dazzling fashion. Born May 16, 1919 in West Allis, Wisconsin, he was a prodigy from the start. His fame would start to soar in the 40s and by the 50s through 70s he was the highest-paid entertainer in the world. The star was a Las Vegas legend, with established concert residencies in Sin City in addition to his robust touring schedule. He was known for being over-the-top, dressing in glittering capes and enjoying a lavish lifestyle.

Liberace passed away in Palm Springs, California on February 4, 1987 due to AIDs-related pneumonia. He was 67.
