Jeff Bridges is best known as an actor and comes from a family involved in the industry. One of his first regular roles was on the television series ‘Sea Hunt’ from 1958 until 1960. His father, Lloyd Bridges, and brother, Beau Bridges, also starred in the series with him. He went on to appear in a wide variety of films and other television series including ‘The Last Picture Show’ in 1971, ‘Starman’ in 1984, ‘White Squall’ in 1996, ‘The Big Lebowski’ in 1998, ‘Crazy Heart’ in 2009. He won an Academy Award for the latter and has continued to make lasting impressions as an actor throughout his successful career.
In addition to acting, Jeff has worked in music and has released multiple albums, including ‘Be Here Soon’ in 2000, a self-titled release in 2011, and ‘Sleeping Tapes’ in 2015. Aside from his professional career, Jeff is a father to three daughters, including Isabelle, Jessica, and Haley. He married Susan Geston in 1977. On Oct. 19, 2020, Jeff announced he was diagnosed with lymphoma, a type of cancer. ‘Although it is a serious disease, I feel fortunate that I have a great team of doctors and the prognosis is good. I’m starting treatment and will keep you posted on my recovery,’ he wrote in a tweet.
