Drake was born Aubrey Drake Graham in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on October 24, 1986. He first rose to stardom while playing Jimmy Brooks on the television series Degrassi: The Next Generation. In June 2009, Drake signed a recording contract with Lil Wayne‘s Young Money Entertainment and released his second studio album, Thank Me Later, on June 15, 2010, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200. Drake released his third studio album on November 15, 2011 titled Take Care. Drake is Grammy-nominated and even performed at the 2010 ceremony. He released his fourth album, Nothing Was The Same, in 2013. He released two mixtapes in 2015 — If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and What a Time to Be Alive — before his 2016 album Views. More Life arrived in 2017 and his most recent, Scorpion, hit shelves in 2018. The rapper has been famously romantically linked to Rihanna, although they are no longer together. He has a son, Adonis, who he has written about in multiple songs, after his feud with Pusha T led to him to go public with the news that he had a child.
