DeAndre Baker takes off his helmet during an NFL game between the New York Giants (DeAndre’s team) and the Minnesota Vikings, which was held inside New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium on Oct. 6, 2019.
DeAndre made history in college football as a highly-ranked cornerback. He only allowed one touchdown pass during his four-year career with the Georgia Bulldogs at the University of Georgia between 2015-2019, and was recognized for being college football’s best defensive back in 2018 with the coveted Jim Thorpe Award.
DeAndre entered the NFL Draft in 2019, and he was the 30th overall pick after finding his new home with the New York Giants. However, DeAndre ran into trouble after being accused of robbing money and designer watches from guests at a party in Miramar, Florida in May of 2020. The city’s police department issued a warrant for his arrest, and he faced four counts of armed robbery with a firearm and four counts of aggravated assault with a firearm.
