Ana de Armas As Marilyn Monroe In ‘Blonde’ — Ana De Armas is taking on the role of Marilyn Monroe in the highly-anticipated Netflix film ‘Blonde.’ The movie, based on the bestselling book by Joyce Carol Oates, reimagines the life of one of Hollywood’s most enduring icons.

The film chronicles Marilyn’s turbulent childhood as Norma Jeane through her rise to stardom across the globe, as well as her relationships. According to the official synopsis, ‘Blonde’ blurs the lines of fact and fiction to explore the widening split between her public and private selves.

‘Blonde’ was written and directed by Andrew Dominik. In addition to Ana, the cast also includes Bobby Cannavale as Joe DiMaggio, Adrien Brody as Arthur Miller, Julianne Nicholson as Gladys Pearl Baker, Xavier Samuel as Charles Chaplin Jr., and Evan Williams as Edward G. Robinson Jr.
