Amy Schumer is best known as a comedian and actress. She made her acting debut as an extra on the musical drama ‘Newsies,’ but she wouldn’t return to drama until she pursued a Bachelor of Arts in Theater at Towson University.
After graduating in 2003, she moved to New York City and continued to study drama at William Esper Studio. She made her stand-up comedy debut at Gotham Comedy Club in 2004, and went on to place fourth on ‘Last Comic Standing’ in 2007. Although she already appeared on Comedy Central in an episode of ‘Live at Gotham’ that same year, she became a recurring face on the network by co-starring in the reality series ‘Reality Bites Back’ in 2008. The network then gave her a ‘Comedy Central Presents’ special in 2010. Her most recognizable work on the show was her skit series, ‘Inside Amy Schumer’.
