Alec Baldwin was born on April 3, 1958, in Amityville, New York to Carol Newcomb and Alexander Rae Baldwin Jr. He is one of five with three younger brothers Daniel (born 1960), William (born 1963), and Stephen (born 1966) who are also actors, and two sisters Elizabeth (born 1955) and Jane (born 1965).

The future actor worked at Studio 54 after graduating high school, later attending George Washington University and NYU.

Baldwin first rose to prominence as a soap opera actor The Doctors which he appeared on from 1980 to 1982. He later appeared in dramas Knots Landing, leading to a successful film and television career. He’s also hosted SNL 17 times as well as the Academy Awards in 2010.

He married Kim Basinger in 1993 after meeting on the set of The Marrying Man. The pair are also parents to a daughter Ireland. Alec married his current wife Hilaria in 2011, and the duo have 7 kids together.

In 2021, he was involved in the accidental death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins while working on the movie Rust. After investigations, he was charged with involuntary manslaughter for discharging the weapon that killed her. Scroll to see photos of Alec through the years.
