Charity Lawson’s journey to find love on The Bachelorette continues with the July 10 episode, and one of the lucky remaining men is Sean McLaughlin. Previews for this week show Sean as one of the guys on the group date with Charity. The Barbie-themed date will require the guys to dress up as different Kens and write a love song for their Barbie, Charity. Ahead of the episode, learn more about Sean with five facts below!
Sean works as an Executive Sales Representative at Paycom in Tampa, Florida, according to his LinkedIn. He has held the position since August 2022. Before that, he was an Outside Sales Representative at the company beginning in March 2021. Paycom sells HR and payroll software.
Sean’s previous employment was for a year and nine months at BrightEdge, a Search Engine Optimization company that provided research for marketers. He held various positions at the company: Account Executive, Senior Sales Development Representative and Specialist Sales Development Representative. Before that, he interned at Barstool Sports in New York City for a year during college.
Sean attended the University of Tampa from 2015 until 2016. He majored in Finance at the college’s John H. Sykes College of Business. He then transferred to Fordham University’s School of Business where he graduated in 2019 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance with a minor in Economics.
Sean’s father is Steve McLaughlin, who is the County Executive of Rensselaer County in New York. Steve began his term in 2018. After years as a pilot and in the banking industry, Steve was elected to the New York State Assembly in 2010, and then got elected for County Executive in 2017.
At the age of 25, Sean recently bought his very first house, according to his ABC Bio. Sean’s Instagram page reveals he had his home’s “grand opening” on June 3, 2023. “McLaughlin Ranch grand opening,” he wrote. “Tequila and beer are served cold and the steaks are medium rare.”
Sean is the proud dad of a french bulldog named Bane. He even created an Instagram account for the pooch. It appears that Sean got the dog in 2021, as that’s when he first began posting on the page.
