‘Interview With The Vampire’: See How Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt & More Are Still Ageless After 26 Years

‘Interview with the Vampire’ may be turning 26, but vampires are forever. In honor of the movie’s anniversary, check out Tom Cruise and more of the stars then and now.

Interview with the Vampire gave us a heavy dose of vampires in the 1990s just when we needed it. The 1994 film, based on Anne Rice’s bestselling book of the same name, follows vampires Lestat and Louis, starting with Louis being transformed into a vampire by Lestat.

The movie starred two of the hottest heartthrobs at the time: Tom Cruise, 58, and Brad Pitt, 56. It’s been nearly 30 years since the movie’s release, and they’re practically aging like vampires. Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise played Lestat de Lioncourt in the horror film. Since those earlier days of his career, Tom has gone on to become one of Hollywood’s most powerful and successful actors. A few years after Interview with the Vampire, Tom starred in Jerry Maguire. He won a Golden Globe for his performance and received an Academy Award nomination.

His other hit films include the entire Mission: Impossible franchise, War of the Worlds, Minority Report, Jack Reacher, The Mummy, and more. Tom is currently filming Mission: Impossible 7 and will reprise his breakout role of Maverick in the highly-anticipated Top Gun sequel, Top Gun: Maverick, in 2021.

When Interview with the Vampire was released, Tom was married to Nicole Kidman, 53, at the time. They adopted two children, Isabella, 27, and Connor, 25. Tom and Nicole divorced in 2001. After dating Penelope Cruz, 46, Tom went on to marry Katie Holmes, 41, in 2005. They had a daughter, Suri, 14, in 2006. Tom and Katie divorced in 2012.

Brad Pitt

Brad Pitt starred as Louis de Pointe du Lac in Interview with the Vampire. The film was just the beginning for Brad. Like Tom, Brad is now one of Hollywood’s most powerful actors. His hit movies include Seven, Fight Club, the Ocean’s franchise, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Moneyball, The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, and more.

He won his first Oscar in 2020 for playing Cliff Booth in the Quentin Tarantino film Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Brad is also a prominent producer. His producing credits include The Departed, 12 Years a Slave, The Big Short, and more.

Brad dated Gwyneth Paltrow, 48, from 1994 to 1997. He married Jennifer Aniston, 51, in 2000, and they divorced in 2005. After meeting on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Brad and Angelina Jolie, 45, fell in love. They have six kids together: Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, Vivienne, and Knox. Angelina filed for divorce in 2016. They are currently still in the process of finalizing their divorce and custody agreement in court 4 years later.

Kirsten Dunst

Kirsten Dunst, now 38, was just 11 years old when she played Claudia. She earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role. The same year as Interview with the Vampire, she starred as Amy March in Little Women. Kirsten became a teen movie queen, starring in teen flicks like Bring It On, Crazy/Beautiful, and more.

Kirsten became a household name around the globe when she starred as Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man movies. She has also started diving into TV roles. She starred in the second season of Fargo and earned a Golden Globe nomination. She led the comedy series On Becoming a God in Central Florida and received another Golden Globe nomination.

The actress notably dated Jake Gyllenhaal, 39, from 2002 to 2004. She also dated Garrett Hedlund, 36, from 2012 to 2016. Kirsten started dating her Fargo co-star Jesse Plemons, 32, in 2016. They got engaged in 2017 and welcomed a son in 2018.

Christian Slater, 51, was already a prominent actor when he starred as Daniel Molloy in the horror film. He went on to have a plethora of film roles, but he gained the most recognition when he starred in the TV series Mr. Robot from 2015 to 2019. He won the Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor in 2016.

Christian recently starred as Dan Broderick in the USA anthology series Dirty John. He will next star in the Peacock series Dr. Death with Joshua Jackson.

The actor married Ryan Haddon in 2000. They have two children together. They were officially divorced in 2007. He married Brittany Lopez in 2013. They welcomed a daughter in 2019.

Antonio Banderas

Antonio Banderas, 60, played Armand in Interview with the Vampire. Antonio’s resume over the years has included a variety of films like The Mask of Zorro, Evita, the Spy Kids series, and more. He also voiced Puss in Boots in the Shrek franchise.

He has also had a major presence on the stage and was nominated for a Tony for his performance in Nine. Antonio recently starred in the second season of Genius as Pablo Picasso. The 2019 film Pain and Glory earned Antonio an Oscar and Golden Globe nomination.

Antonio divorced his first wife Ana Leza in 1996 after getting married in the late 1980s. He married Melanie Griffith, now 63, in 1996, and they had a daughter named Stella, 24, that same year. They divorced in 2015.

Thandie Newton

Thandie Newton’s role as Yvette was among her first roles. The 48-year-old went on to have major roles in Beloved, Mission: Impossible 2, Crash, W., Solo: A Star Wars Story, and more.

She currently stars as Maeve in the HBO series Westworld. She won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress for her performance. She also won a Golden Globe for playing Maeve.

Thandie married Ol Parker in 1998. They have three kids, including Nico Parker, 15, who is also an actress.

Stephen Rea

Stephen Rea, 74, starred as Santiago in the 1994 film. The Irish actor has had notable roles since Interview with the Vampire in movies like V for Vendetta, Asylum, Out of the Dark, Greta, and more. He’s also appeared in TV series like The Shadow Line, The Honourable Woman, Counterpart, The Stranger, and more.

Stephen and wife Dolours Price got divorced in 2003 after 17 years of marriage. They have two sons together.
