Congratulations are in order for Zonnique Pullins and boyfriend Bandhunta Izzy! The couple welcomed their first child together, a baby girl, on Dec. 15. The news was announced on Zonnique’s FOX Soul show The Mix. Zonnique wasn’t present for the episode, and her co-hosts revealed it was because she had given birth. “Congratulations to Zonnique on the arrival of her baby girl,” the show wrote on Instagram. “Our princess arrived this morning at 6:27 am weighing in at 8lbs, 8oz and 21 inches long!”
This marks the first child for Zonnique, who is the eldest daughter of Xscape singer Tameka “Tiny” Harris. Tiny’s husband, rapper T.I. is her stepfather. As for Izzy, 23, (née Israel James), he has two children, a son and daughter, from a previous relationship(s). It’s unclear when Zonnique and Izzy began dating, though, the rapper previously had photos of the pair on his Instagram feed dating back to December of 2018. He’s since deleted the latter mentioned photos. The proud parents reside in Atlanta, where Zonnique bought her first home in 2018.
After much speculation, Zonnique announced her pregnancy in early August with the first photos of her baby bump. “Literally every year, probably for the past three years, this same rumor [that I was pregnant] had come out. This time I actually am pregnant. It’s weird!” she said in an interview with People.
Following her pregnancy announcement, Zonnqiue spoke exclusively with HollywoodLife about her journey to baby — even her extreme fear of childbirth. “I am terrified. Literally terrified [to give birth],” she said during HollywoodLife‘s TVTalk on Instagram Live in August. “I’ve always been terrified of labor. I don’t see how people do it,” Zonnique, who was 21 weeks along at the time, admitted. “I was just so stuck in me not having a child, so I didn’t think it was even coming up any time soon. So now that I know, ‘Oh that’s what I’m about to be coming too,’ I’m very scared.”
Clearly, Zonnique overcame her fear! Congratulations to the singer and Izzy on the birth of their baby girl!
