Due to the COVID-19 pandemic postponing events and limiting red carpets, we haven’t seen Priyanka Chopra all done up like the glamorous gowned goddess that she is in awhile. The 38-year-old went ALL OUT for the Footwear News Achievement Awards on Dec. 8, with one of her most gorgeous looks yet. The actress appeared remotely to congratulate Crocs as the 2020 brand of the year, as she’s their global brand ambassador.
Priyanka’s black gown featured a dramatic black lace capelet-style top with a plunging neckline that went all the way down to the high waistline of her skirt. She wore her brunette tresses in a loose updo, and accessorized with massive diamond drop earrings. Her perfect black manicure matched her stunning dress.
Priyanka told of how “Crocs stepped up in the face of adversity in a time to deliver comfort when it it was needed the most,” at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. She noted that over the course of 45 days, Crocs donated more than 860,000 pairs of shoes to global frontline health care workers. Priyanka then presented the 2020 Footwear News Brand of the Year award to Crocs and their president Michelle Poole.

It was so great to see Priyanka super glammed up in a year when there have been few chances for stars to really go all out. Since no movies have been released in theaters, there have been no red carpet premieres. The few post-March 2020 awards shows that have taken place have had limited red carpets where just a few stars pose in front of a logo wall, with social distancing and COVID-19 protocols in place, while much of the telecast is done remotely or pre-taped.
Since Priyanka appeared remotely for the event, she taped the appearance from London, where she husband Nick Jonas are currently renting a home while she shoots the new romantic comedy Text to You. Which means the 28-year-old singer got to see how stunning his glammed up wife looked in person.
Priyanka and Nick just celebrated their second wedding anniversary on Dec. 1. The Baywatch star shared a sweet Instagram photo of herself and her husband holding hands while walking around London on a snowy day. “Happy 2 year anniversary to the love of my life,” she captioned the post. “Always by my side. My strength. My weakness. My all. I love you @nickjonas.” The singer returned the love by sharing a series of photos from their gorgeous and elaborate Indian wedding ceremony with the caption, “Two years married to the most wonderful, inspiring and beautiful woman. Happy anniversary @priyankachopra I love you.”
