Like mother, like daughter! Serena Williams has a mini version of herself in her three-year-old daughter, Olympia! The youngster seems to be taking after her mom, who is one of the greatest tennis players of all time, posing on the court with a large racquet in hand. In the November 12 snap, little Olympia rocks a red Nike tennis dress and a matching headband with bow on it. She also wore white sneakers and pulled her hair back into a tight bun.
The racquet actually featured a net, so Olympia could catch the balls rather than throw them back. “Catching all the shade they’re throwing and then some,” the caption hilariously read, and fans couldn’t get enough. “She’s getting so big,” one follower wrote, while another commented, “So cute to see Olympia wear a red Nike dress like the one Serena wore during the summer tournament.”
Most recently, the mother-daughter duo showed off their karaoke skills when they gave a rousing, acapella rendition of the theme song from the popular kids show Paw Patrol. Serena shared the clip to her Instagram account on October 27 and could be heard belting the lyrics into their microphones, “Paw Patrol, Paw Patrol, we’ll be there on the double.” Like many children her age, Paw Patrol is one of her favorite shows, and Serena has also shared clips of her mini-me totally mesmerized by the series. Olympia didn’t even blink while watching an episode of the show. “My paw patrol loving baby,” the athlete captioned the clip.
Serena shares Olympia with her husband Alexis Ohanian, and the family have had a big year. Back in June, the entrepreneur announced his resignation from Reddit, the company he co-founded more than a decade ago. The 37-year-old revealed that he would be stepping down from his board seat and urging his co-workers to hire a Black candidate to replace him. “Having diverse views on any boards is important. So proud of you Alexis,” Serena wrote, adding that he was setting a great example for their daughter. “I know Olympia will be too.”
