Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield Split: He Wanted To Start A Family But She Wasn’t Ready

We never got concrete answers as to why Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone broke up — until now! Apparently the ‘Spider Man’ actor wanted to start a family, but his beau wasn’t ready, HollywoodLife.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned. Check out the scoop!

We were SO smitten with Andrew Garfield, 33, and Emma Stone, 27, as a couple. Not only did they look adorable together, but they were so incredibly low-key and chill! Sadly, they just couldn’t put their differences aside when it came to future planning. “Andrew was all about starting a family, and began pressuring Emma about two years ago,” a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY. “She kept saying she wanted kids, but wanted to focus on her career first.”

We instantly knew that Emma was going to a superstar when we saw her quirky and outstandingly sarcastic character on Super Bad. The comedic actress met Andrew on set of The Amazing Spiderman in 2012, and dated him for four years before calling it off in 2015. Andrew’s career kind of plateaued after that franchise (except for Hacksaw Ridge), but the same can’t be said for Emma! The spunky funnywoman went on to star in Croods, BirdmanIrrational Man and more!

But while she was making a Hollywood name for herself, her hectic schedule kept pulling her away from the British hunk. “Andrew decided to compromise and wait it out, but Emma just kept stalling and stalling,” the source continues. “He’s 33 now, and doesn’t want to wait anymore.” Emma said in a Vogue interview that she still loves Andrew “very much,” which could explain why she hasn’t had a serious boyfriend since. Andrew, on the other hand, was spotted out with a mystery brunette just months after their breakup. We might be living in a fantasy, but a small part of us still feels like Emma and Andrew will reunite somewhere down the line.
