“I am turning to you for help raising $10,000,” wrote Playboy model Jen Wilke on her new GoFundMe page. She explained that she’s getting “all the right kind of attention” right now, but that she’s “still worrying about covering basic expenses like clothing, travel, and lodging.” When she got an invite to the important Maxim Hot 100 Party, she knew she needed to go, but couldn’t afford it, so she turned to her fans.
“It would mean the world to me to be able to focus on my modeling career exclusively. I know that I am almost at a point where I could support myself and once I am there, I intend on using my profile and my position for the good of society. I just need to get there first.”
“These funds will cover my expenses for the Maxim Hot 100 party and also give me a boost into the future, enabling me to say “yes” to many opportunities about which I have thus far been ambivalent. The money that you contribute will set me on a pathway to a brighter future, and for that I will be forever grateful. I thank you for your time.”

However, Jen is willing to go to any length to make it work, with or without fan support. She even revealed in an update that during her trip she left in an air mattress in her car in a WalMart parking lot! That’s commitment. So far, she has raised $830 of her $10k goal, which may not sound like much, but it enabled her to go to the party, and “ended up making some business connections which is always much welcomed, along with new friendships.” In exchange for help, Jen is sending out selfies, signed pics and even calendars.
