Rihanna, 28, and Calvin Harris, 32, are blowing up the charts with their hit “This Is What You Came For,” but there’s a version out there that actually features Taylor Swift, 26, singing the track instead of the R&B superstar, a new report claims. It wasn’t just for fun and games, either — Tay and Calvin reportedly recorded a full demo together!
Taylor actually wrote the lyrics to “This Is What You Came For,” Calvin confirmed, but did it under a pseudonym so the collaboration wouldn’t overshadow the song, according to TMZ. After penning the track, Tay reportedly got in the studio with the DJ, who she was dating at the time, and they made a whole version of the now-hit together.
Still, the decision to keep their collab out of the public eye held strong, and Calvin nabbed RiRi to sing on the real thing, the site claims. But wait — HOW can we hear that secret demo!?!?!
As we previously reported, Tay was totally fine with keeping her duet with Calvin a secret, but when he said in a radio interview that they hadn’t “even spoken” about working together, she allegedly felt totally hurt and disrespected.
The 26-year-old met Tom Hiddleston, 35, just two days after Calvin and Rihanna dropped “This Is What You Came For,” and by June 1, it was revealed that she and the 32-year-old had split. And, as we already know, she was making out with the Thor actor in public less than two weeks after that — and they’ve been inseparable ever since!
HollywoodLifers, do you wish Taylor and Calvin released their version of the song?
