Homicide has not been ruled out by Minnesota authorities, according to In Touch. Authorities seized “dozens of prescription pill bottles for drugs including Percocet, Oxycodone, Hydrocodone and Xanax,” a source tells the magazine, and the culprit behind Prince’s death may be one of the doctors who allegedly kept the “Let’s Go Crazy” singer supplied with these painkillers!
“These pain medications, this stuff is more additive than heroin,” a veteran private investigator tells In Touch. “If someone overprescribed medication for Prince, in my opinion, it was murder.” The investigator also said that any doctor that “recklessly gave these prescriptions” to Prince “should be held accountable. They can and should be held criminally responsible.”
During Prince’s final performance in April 16, he reportedly even had a physician by his side, according to In Touch. “Prince actually introduced the doctor to everyone,” according to partygoer Jamie Reimann. “It was surprising. He had the crowd give a round of applause for the man.” If that doctor reportedly caused Prince’s untimely death, no one would applaud for them now. It could be that another case of a music icon murdered by a negligent physician, as Dr. Conrad Murray, 63, was found guilty of killing Michael Jackson by administering a fatal overdose! Authorities have confirmed that they have started “interviewing people who have information pertinent to the investigation.” As for treating this case as murder, the authorities will “process it like any other crime scene and preserve all the evidence,” LA deputy DA Nierdermann tells In Touch, “and then as they start to sift through the evidence, they will have a better idea of what is a viable charge.”
“[Prince’s family] are just stunned and want any drug dealers or doctors responsible for his death prosecuted,” a Prince insider tells In Touch. “They have been extremely cooperative with the investigation and want anyone with him in the last 30 days to be formally questioned.” However, his fiends and family are “dumbfounded” over the “drug-related media attention,” a source EXCLUSIVELY tells HollywoodLife.com. “Many who knew him very well never saw him even take a drink of alcohol.”
