Yom Kippur is the day that marks atonement for Jewish people all over the world. On the holiest day of the Jewish year, which started on Rosh Hashanah on September 13, followers will be fasting for an entire 26 hours, as well as abstaining from washing their bodies, wearing leather, and doing a lot of other things. What an impressive feat. Celebrities like Billy Eichner, Ellen Degeneres, Jenny Slate — and even President Obama — tweeted about their hopes for the holy day.
