In our ‘wildest dreams’ we never thought we’d see Taylor Swift with black hair, but she’s rocking dark hair in her new music video — and it looks amazing!

Taylor Swift‘s music video for “Wildest Dreams” premiered on the MTV VMAs pre-show on Aug. 30 and in it, Taylor channels a Hollywood screen siren with dark curls. Along with her dark hair, Taylor keeps her signature red lipstick and flirty lashes. She looks a little bit like an Elizabeth Taylor-type in the Out Of Africa-inspired video.

Taylor rocked brown hair for The Giver, but because she was wearing very little makeup, she didn’t look like herself at all, and it was not the greatest look for her.

Add a little red lips and rosy cheeks, and the black hair totally suits her! The darker color looks amazing against her porcelain skin tone. At the very least, it’s perfect for the character she plays in this video — a glam Hollywood actress.
