Justin Bieber Opens Up About Bad Boy Past In New Interview: ‘I’m A Bad Influence’

As we all know, growing up in the public eye proved to be extremely challenging for Justin Bieber. The 21-year-old talked about the ways he struggled in a new interview, acknowledging he’s not the best influence.

Justin Bieber, 21, knows that he was a bad boy in the past, but he’s officially turned a new leaf! While promoting his musical comeback, the pop star stopped by Elvis Duran’s Morning Show for an interview, which will air on August 28. He talked about his past rebellious ways and why he was never “ready to take that leap” to change until now — find out exactly what JB said!

Speaking about cleaning up his act and why he waited a while to change, Justin said, “I mean, maybe I’m a bad influence, but for me I was like, no, I’m going to do this until I feel like I shouldn’t be doing this. Maybe I was wrong, but that’s how I learn, and I feel like I’m much better for it.”

“I just want to be around people who I feel are supporting me, uplifting me, and making sure I’m the best version of myself because there are so many people in this industry who just want to keep seeing me fall,” he told Elvis.

Surrounding himself with a good support system is what helped Justin make it through in the end. “It has to be on you. You have to make the conscious effort, because for me, so many times it was good people coming in my life and tugging at me, but I wasn’t ready,” he explained. “They’re like, ‘Justin, come on.’ But I wasn’t ready to take that leap and be like, ‘Okay, this is what I want to change, this is who I am, and this is not who I am.’ It takes moments of clarity to be like, ‘Oh, that’s why I’m not like this. That’s why I shouldn’t do this.'”

Don’t forget, Justin’s new single “What Do You Mean?” will be released on August 28! HollywoodLifers, are you excited for Justin’s comeback?! Let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
