SummerSlam: ‘Arrow’ Star Stephen Amell Defeats Stardust In Epic Fight

It happened. At ‘SummerSlam,’ Stephen Amell, dressed as Arrow, took on WWE Superstars Stardust and King Barrett with the help of his tag team partner, Neville. After Stephen made a HUGE dive on his opponents, he and Neville WON!

Stephen Amell, 34, was finally forced to face WWE Superstars Stardust and King Barrett on Sunday night, Aug. 23, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Making things even better? He made his SummerSlam entrance while dressed as his television superhero character, Arrow, and he kicked butt along with his partner in wrestling crime, Neville!

It was a match almost a year in the making, and watching it come to fruition inside the WWE SummerSlam ring was almost too much to handle. Actor Stephen Amell came out in his Arrow costume and jumped in the ring with his partner, Neville, to tag team Stardust and King Barrett. When Stephen and the WWE Superstars finally got into the ring it was total mayhem, but it resulted in a major win for the good guys!

Stephen used the ropes as a springboard to jump into the match. He booted Stardust down, surprising the WWE’s Prince of Dark Matter. However, Stephen’s lack of experience as a WWE Superstar put him at a big disadvantage! He suffered lot of punishment from Barrett and Stardust before making the hot tag to Neville! After that, it was a Battle in Brooklyn, with Stephen making a HUGE dive on his opponents! Of course, it helped that Neville was able to pull off his signature closing move, the “Red Arrow.” Boom and 1-2-3. Arrow and arrow for the win!

Take Our Poll

As you might remember, just two weeks before WWE Summerslam finally went down, Stephen took down Stardust in a surprise appearance at WWE Monday Night Raw. It seems that after months and months of being called out on Twitter, Stephen had finally had enough of Stardust’s crap and decided to pay him a visit. But, the real battle between them happened during the WWE SummerSlam!

Stephen and Neville’s victory came on a night that had Brock Lesnar and The Undertaker square off for the first time since WrestleMania 30 in 2014. Brock broke Taker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak and the Deadman was looking for revenge! Plus, John Cena faced Seth Rollins in a “Winner Takes All” match for both the United States Championship and the WWE World Heavyweight title.
