Wow, talk about a baby boom on the set of ‘Law & Order: SVU.’ Peter Scanavino is the latest cast member on the hit show to be expecting a baby. First Ice-T, then Kelli Giddish and now Peter. So funny, congrats!
Law & Order: SVU has been one active set! Peter Scanavino, who plays junior detective Dominick Carisi, Jr on the long running show, is expecting his second child with his wife Lisha Bai. The news comes right on the heels of the announcement that two other cast members are expecting.
What are the odds that three cast members would be expecting all at once?! Well, that’s exactly what is going down over on the Law & Order: SVU set! Peter aka, detetive Carisi, is expecting his second child with his wife Lisha. That makes him detective diaper number three — alongside co-stars, Ice-T and Kelli Giddish!
SVU show-runner Warren Leight took to Twitter to break the couple’s happy news. He tweeted on July 28, “Breaking:you won’t believe this but @PeterScanavino just checked in. He and his lovely wife Lisha expecting their 2nd in January! #SVUNursery.”
He went on to make some more funny jokes about the cast being extremely fertile, so funny!

The show isn’t slowing down, even with the big baby boom. The new season premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 23 at 9/8c on NBC.
